Chippindale Plant, a family-run company that has recently been acquired by AER Group, has taken delivery of four new Isuzu trucks over the past 12 months.
The latest two replacement trucks are Isuzu Grafter N35.125 dropsides that are now working across the company’s eight depots in the North of England.
Having taken their very first 7.5 tonne Isuzu way back in 2010 – and which is still in daily operation – Chippindale Plant now have thirteen Isuzus in their sixty-strong commercial vehicle fleet.
Their fleet consists of 10 Isuzu Grafter 3.5 tonne trucks and three Isuzu 7.5 tonne rigids.

Chippindale Plant’s operations director, Tony Atack, said: “We have found that the Isuzu trucks are strong and dependable working vehicles.
“Over the 12 years we have had them in our fleet they have proven to be both robust and reliable, certainly built to work in a tough environment and providing us with excellent payload and low running costs as well as the capacity for towing plant to and from our customers.”
He added: “Isuzu Truck are a proactive company and have worked hard this year to ensure that we have been supplied with vehicles at a time when other manufacturers have failed to perform.
“Throughout the acquisition programme for these new trucks, we had excellent communications directly with Isuzu Truck because of the trusting working relationship between our two companies.”
Isuzu Grafter 3.5 tonne dropsides
The two latest Isuzu Grafter 3.5 tonne dropsides will be covering approximately 35,000 km per year over a six-year working life, delivering light plant and welfare units to customers throughout the North of England.
