Packaging Supervisor

We are currently working exclusively with a well-established and fast-growing client looking for a Packaging Supervisor to join one of their sites in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The Packaging Supervisor will ensure JIT supply of all packaging, labels and trays to enable daily production plans without interruption. Collaborative teamwork and open communications with operational departments is an essential aspect of the role, as is day-to-day supervision of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise and coordinate work plans of a team of stock controllers and box makers

* Coordinate, record and update logistical logs and full inventory records

* Ensure main and fulfillment stores stock levels fully account for JIT supplies to production

* Follow up third party deliveries

* To ensure that all FLT and pallet trucks are operated, maintained, and charged in accordance with company procedures

* Fully manage periodic stock takes

* Maintain, log, and correctly use all data capture equipment

* Ensure that the area of work remains orderly and systematic, deploying a clean as you go practice

* Ensure that all stock is correctly stored within the correct temperature-controlled environment

* To ensure that all stock is stored correctly and that all loads are handed, transported, stored, and allocated safely

* To carry out and manage racking and stack safely inspections

* Ensure that store and yard is kept in an acceptable and tidy condition

Requirements for the Packaging Supervisor role:

* Educated to NQF Level 3 in an academic or equivalent level vocational qualification

* Previous experience in stock management within a FMCG environment

* Experience of packaging formats and types

* Experience of supervising a team

* Fluent in English (written and verbal)

* Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the site with a full UK Driving Licence as travel to and from sites will be expected

Hours of Work: Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday, 7am – 5pm
