Supply Chain Co-Ordinator

2BM Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with our manufacturing client in Sheffield with an excellent opportunity for a Supply Chain Co-Ordinator. Permanent fulltime role in an established organisation paying £32,000.00 per annum plus an excellent benefits package.
Job Details:
As a Supply Chain Co-Ordinator, you will report directly to the head of logistics and be responsible for maintaining inventories of raw material and consumable items to optimum levels and liaising and negotiating with suppliers in line with the company's current and future plans. You will also monitor performance of existing suppliers and continuously seek to improve cost efficiency and effectiveness as well as forecast, plan and report raw material stock and other consumables to meet the needs of the business and order accordingly. Evaluating, monitoring and benchmarking current suppliers, sourcing new suppliers and negotiating contracts to enable the company to achieve optimum cost control will also be part of the role. You will produce daily and weekly reports and advise production supervisors, planners, management and the logistics team with relevant supply chain performance improvement information to enhance productivity. Analysis and implementation of continuous improvements to supply chain networks and evaluation of internal systems to introduce any agreed positive changes will also be in the scope of the role.
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills / qualifications / attributes:
The successful candidate will have previous Supply Chain/ Logistics experience preferably within manufacturing whilst coordinating raw materials, transport/deliveries and negotiation of supplier contracts. You will have a ‘can do ‘ attitude and the ability to work independently, multitask and make sound business decisions. You will be an effective communicator that is confident liaising with suppliers, stakeholders, and multiple internal departments. You should also possess excellent IT skills preferably including SAP.
