Renault Trucks has launched a 26-tonne fully electric truck which is headed for the UK market. The Renault D Wide ZE will be the first zero emission vehicle from Renault for the UK.
Driven by two electric motors, the vehicle will deliver a maximum of 370kW power and 850Nm torque. It will have a range of up to 93 miles, depending on application and body specification.
The truck comes with a 220kW battery and 22kW AC charger, which can take up to 150kW of DC on fast charge.
Speaking about the launch, Carlos Rodrigues, managing director at Renault Trucks UK and Ireland said: “Today marks a significant milestone in our transformation of urban mobility, with the arrival in the UK of the first fully electric MHD launched earlier this year.”
He continued: “We are delighted to introduce our ZE range fitting most urban and last mile delivery applications from 3.1 tonnes up to 26 tonnes. They are available for delivery […] in the UK and Ireland.”
